2 month birthday!

Well our sweet Jael is now 2 months old! She went in for her big doctors appointment to get all of her first round of shots...she did great. She weighed in at 9 lbs and 12 oz!! She's 22 inches long! She is starting to smile alot and is tons of fun!! She is a very sweet baby and is sleeping through the night (for 3 weeks now!) ! Here are some new pics!!!

A beautiful reminder that Christ is our righteousness...
"Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen."

Oh what a beautiful thing that there is no amount of "goodness" in us that can achieve His favor but we lean upon Him and His blood to cover all of our filth that in the end we can stand boldly before His throne knowing that we belong to Him...no longer are we seen as haters and enemies of God but as His beloved children! Oh that we should be called children of God! It is a mystery I will never understand...that He would be mindful of us.

Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice.

Truly Humbling.

Here's some pictures of Jael- 26 days old!!! She is recovering from her surgery beautifully! She is in pain and I feel so helpless but I am so thankful that she is keeping all of her food down! I am constantly reminded of the gracious gift of God when I look at her.

Humbled and Blessed

On Jael's 3 week birthday she went into surgery for pyloric stinoisis...a disease which causes the pyloric valve (the muscle at the bottom of the stomach which allows food to pass into the intestines) to thicken and close up refusing to allow food to pass from the stomach into the intestines. The surgery is pretty straight forward and simple. I cannot begin to tell you all the ways that the LORD rained down his grace and mercy on us during this process. The surgeon that performed the surgery on our sweet baby was a beautiful Christian woman who prayed over us, Jael, herself and her surgical team before going into surgery. It was beautiful to hear her confess her dependance upon Christ and her love for her Savior. My heart was so much more peaceful after that. She came out of surgery with no complications. The first 18 hours we're a lil bumpy- still throwing up after feedings...but by the evening of the next day she was released to go home! We are so so humbled by the way the Lord cared and provided for us during this trial...all the church family who supported us and prayed for us, for my sister flying down to be with us, for believing family who lifted us up, for the Word of God and His Comforter, for wonderful nursing staff and the list could go on forever! Praise God for this work, for this trail, for this testing of our faith...and we would praise Him even if He would have taken Jael from us, she is not ours and we trust the Lord to do what will bring Him most glory!!! But are so so thankful that He saw fit to heal our child. May we be found faithful in His sight as we raise this gift to love and serve the Living God!
